As a WAVE member you become part of the national feminist network that advocates on behalf of women in adult and vocational education and training and employment related issues. Your membership lends strength to that advocacy, giving us a distinctive place in the women’s movement.
The Executive Committee communicates with members through our website, e-newsletters and updates, and social media, ensuring an interactive and proactive membership engagement strategy. WAVE also delivers a range of Lunchbox Webinars on topics of interest to our members and an annual Forum.
WAVE relies on membership fees and contributions provided by our supporters to continue to do the work that we do. WAVE is an independent organisation and does not receive any government funding.
WAVE has two levels of Membership Subscriber and Full, requests for Full Membership must be submitted by email following activation of Subscriber Membership. Applications for Full Membership are considered by the Executive Committee monthly.
Subscriber Membership
This membership is FREE.
As a subscriber member you will receive priority access to the WAVE Newsletter and Updates including Media Alerts and notification of upcoming dates for WAVE events.

Full Membership
With a financial Full Membership, you will receive all the benefits of a Subscriber Membership, plus you can:
- Vote at the Annual General Meeting – 1 vote per individual
- Nominate to a seat on the WAVE Executive Committee and receive 40% discount on the annual membership
- Contribute to WAVE advocacy and lobbying
- Participate in WAVE publications
- Lead or contribute to WAVE events
- Discounted access to any paid WAVE events.
Individual Full Membership $50 per year
Organisational Full Membership $100 per year (up to 3 individuals)
Membership Fees are due by 1 October annually, applications received Nov-Aug will be assessed on a pro-rata basis for the first year.
