WAVE submission to JSA on annual work plan consultation

WAVE envisages an annual workplan development process that has equity at its centre. As it stands, equity and any of the mechanisms required to ensure its implementation, monitoring and evaluation are nowhere to be found. We note that this is counter to the National Skills Agreement1 due to commence in January 2024 which makes explicit statements about equity including women’s participation2.

Our submission recommends that JSA’s annual workplan development process include an additional element of intersectional gender equity in the workplan concepts to ensure equity is embedded as an organising principle.
